New England Orthopedic Surgeons, a region leading, orthopedic practice in Springfield, Massachusetts, is seeking a dedicated full-time Physical Therapist in our Northampton office, to provide treatment of post-operative and non-operative orthopedic patients in a dynamic and interactive physician-owned group practice. We are devoted to the health and well being of our patients.

New graduates and experienced physical therapists encouraged to apply. Graduation from accredited physical therapy program and license with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Job Responsibilities Include: This full time position is responsible for maintaining smooth and efficient patient flow; performs routine procedures i.e., vital signs, height, weight, drawing up injections; prepares patients and assists with exams and special procedures; instructs patients for basic diagnostic procedures/treatment; reports pertinent observations to provider; charts in patient record in accordance with protocols; prepares rooms and work area for sessions, including stocking of rooms; books patient appointments; answers phones and triages patient messages; performs clerical work as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Medical Assisting experience. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent.
  • Ability to deal effectively with physicians, patients, and staff members.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to verbalize and write in English so the average person can comprehend.
  • Orientation at time of hire including compliance training.
  • Yearly OSHA as required.
  • Other programs mandated by NEOS including software training.
  • Proficient in medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of office software (MS Word, medical office software) preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
