New England Orthopedic Surgeons, a region leading, orthopedic practice in Springfield, Massachusetts, is seeking a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner/APRN.

This position will provide excellent patient care working with our Total Joint Surgeons. The right candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of providing competent diagnostic abilities along with comprehensive focused based physical examination to the patient.

  • Provide triage to patients as well as seeing add on patients.
  • Responsible for maintaining patient documentation in a thorough and timely manner and follow established procedures and processes relative to billing.
  • This position is responsible for admitting and discharging patients and obtaining consults.
  • Perform pre-surgical history & physicals, issue orders for medications, treatments and lab tests, review pre-surgical testing.
  • Responsible for making rounds at the hospital, returning calls in a timely manner.
  • Will work closely with physicians, consulting and referring to them as needed.
  • Strong medical and cardiology background is helpful.
  • Continually strive to improve patient care and the operations of NEOS.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Massachusetts state license, Federal DEA, Massachusetts Controlled Substance certificate, required CMEs logged every two years. For Physician Assistants, take and pass NCCPA re-certification exam every 10 years. Orientation at time of hire including compliance training. Yearly OSHA as required. Exceptional working knowledge of orthopedics

COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to deal effectively with physicians, patients, and staff members. Exceptional organizational, problem solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently. Detail oriented. Must be able to verbalize and write in English so the average person can comprehend.

EDUCATIONAL/ CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: PA-C or A.P.R.N. or eligible. JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: PA-C or A.P.R.N. or eligible.

New England Orthopedic Surgeons, a leading orthopedic private practice, is recruiting for X-Ray Technicians. New graduates welcome to apply. This position will operate radiology equipment to make diagnostic x-ray films as directed by physicians. Instruct patients regarding procedures and follow prescribed safety standards. Accommodate individual physician preferences and protocols. Retrieve, file, and return films to proper patient’s medical record. Perform related work as required.

Education/experience requirements: Completion of course in radiologist technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist. One-year experience as radiology technologist, orthopedics preferred. Current certification with ARRT. Massachusetts License.

We are devoted to the health and well being of our patients.

New graduates and experienced physical therapists encouraged to apply. Graduation from accredited physical therapy program and license with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Experience in orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation preferred.
